About the host

The PITA 28 AGM and Business Forum Expo is kindly hosted by INTERCHANGE LIMITED.

Part of the Interchange Group, a Vanuatu-based consortium committed to providing nation-building telecommunications technologies and infrastructure to communities throughout Vanuatu and the South Pacific region. Interchange built Vanuatu’s only subsea cable in 2014, connecting Port Vila to Suva, Fiji, and with plans in place to launch a new satellite service, AelanSat, and install two more cables that will connect Vanuatu with the Solomon Islands and New Caledonia, providing backup and ensuring uninterrupted connection.

Interchange Limited is a PITA Full Member, joining PITA in March 2011

ITU Training and Girls for ICT

In collaboration with the ITU Regional Office, there will be a training on SMS4DC for National Spectrum Management. This training is to be held concurrently during breakouts over the 4 days and will target National Administrations from in the Pacific Island countries (National Regulatory Authority). In addition to this, and in partnership that also include PTC (Pacific Telecommunications Council), a special session on ITU GIRLS FOR ICT will be held prior to the closing of the event.

Indicative Program

Over the four days the following activities are to be expected:

plenary sessions in the morning,
concurrent breakouts in the afternoon (alternate for variation),
free afternoons and evenings for bilateral and social networking,
exhibits whole day,
opening and closing ceremony.
